Hello my dear friends..Hope you are doing fine. Today I just wanted to share the incident which occurred with one of my student recently.
His name is Ravi, around 24 year young boy, just few months back he completed his graduation. And luckily he got a job in a private company with the salary of Rupees 15,000/- per months.
Well he celebrated the joining of the jobs but just after two months he rang me up, saying that he is resigning from the job. I just shocked and asked what happened.
He said "nothing.....!"
I said "nothing, then what is reason to resign.?"
He said that " my salary is less. I am not happy with the salary."
I smiled and told him. "Okay ! .. What will you do after leaving the job.?"
He said he will search the, another job.
Now, It made me anxious. And I started thinking that what happen to this young generation. I don;t mind searching jobs for higher salary. However leaving a job of good salary is not logical as well.
I do remember my own case. During seventies I joined a publishing company as a Correspondent. I was around 25 only. Very young and very aggressive e guy as well. Just after few days I left the jobs because my boss wanted me to work overnight and which I felt was the exploitation. I resigned from my job.
Though, later I did jobs at various places but everywhere every new employee wanted me to know that why I left the first job ?. And when I said that they wanted me to work overnight. Nobody appreciated me for taking such action. In their eyes It was only a over reaction of my mine.
I never agreed with them but later after a decade I started realizing that I did a mistake because I never got the job of such status which I resigned in a decade back. I regretted whole of my life.
I just want to say that never take hasty decision when resigning from the jobs. You should have the right and positive reason for leaving the job.
Life is very risky and how it may react on your decision , no one knows.
I agree when you grow you have to leave the past jobs. However,make sure and remember that when you 'grow' then only you leave the past jobs. Never leave the jobs just in hope for a better job or just in unhappiness of the work place.
Things changes slowly and slowly and you start liking the place and salary amount too after spending the adequate duration in a job and in a work place. It is a human psychology. So never resign without a strong & positive reason.
