, Bhubaneswar as per schedule given at this website.
2.Screening of candidates at Army Recruitment Sitewill be carried out at on the basis of Rough Height & Prelim Documentation Check, Physical Fitness Tests,
3.Documentation Check and Medical Examination as per information given at this website.
4. Rough Height & Prelim Documentation Check. Rough Height & Prelim Documentation Check will commence at Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack between 0400 Hrs to 0430 Hrs on daily basis for the duration of Army Recruitment Rally. Candidates who report later than 0700 Hrs will not be allowed to participate in Recruitment Rally.
5. Physical Fitness Tests (PFT) (a) Candidates meeting the laid down standards for minimum height will be registered for appearing for Physical Fitness Tests (PFT), which will commence at Jawahar Lal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack between0445 Hrs to 0500 Hrs on daily basis for the duration Recruitment Rally. (b) All the interested candidates shall be aware that they have to undergo PFT at their own risk and expenses. Any injury/ death due to physical tests conducted during the recruitment rally will not be compensated in any manner. (c) Candidates are liable to be screened for use of physical performance enhancing drugs during recruitment rally.
6. Physical Standard Measurement. All the candidates who have passed Physical Fitness Tests will undergo Physical Measurements.
7. Documentation Check (a) Conduct of Army Recruitment Rally has been computerised, whereby authentication of selected candidates is carried out on the basis of validation data comprising of Biometrics, Digital Photographs & Sample Handwriting before preparation of computer based Recruit Master Data Sheet (RMDS). (b) Detailed scrutiny of all the documents produced by candidates at Recruitment Rally Site is carried out at this stage along with validation of Physical Fitness & Physical Standards data captured during the conduct of PFT and Physical measurements by the Army Recruiting Staff. (c) In case of Fake/ Forged Documents, FIR for Fraudulent Enrolment by Fake Recruit shall be lodged and such candidates will be handed over to Odisha Police. (d) Compliance of selected candidates with eligibility conditions for enrolment in Army is concurrently verified by the screening teams in online mode over multiple thin clients connected in an exclusive LAN for Army Recruitment requirements.
8. Medical Examination (a) Successful candidates will undergo medical examination at Recruitment Rally Site. Candidates are advised to take following actions before appearing for medical examination:- (i) Get Wax of both ears cleaned. (ii) Treatment of Hernia, Hydrocele, Skin diseases etc. (iii) Body hairs should be shaved / trimmed. (b) Medical Examination of the candidates will be conducted as per Medical Standards stipulated for Recruitment in Army. He shall give an undertaking prior to conduct of his Medical Examination that Recruiting Medical Officers and other Medical Specialists of Armed Forces are Final Authority in such matter for Declaring him FIT/ UNFIT. (c) Temporary Unfit and Permanent Unfit candidates can opt for Medical Review at the Appeal Medical Board. After the review at the Appeal Medical Board, the candidate will have no right for further review or re-medical. (d) The maximum period permissible for review of Temporary Unfit candidates will be forty two days and for Permanent Unfit Candidates will be twenty one days. (e) There is no embargo on screening of Medically Unfit Candidates as fresh candidate during subsequent Recruitment Rallies. Permanent and Temporary Unfit candidates can come up for medical examination afresh during subsequent Army Recruitment Rallies. (f) Permanent Tattoo. Any candidate with a small engraving / Tattoo of name or religious symbol on the inner face of the arms or hands is permitted for enrolment in Army. However, candidates having permanent tattoos on any other part of the body are debarred from joining Army.
9. Grievance Cell. Grievance Cell will be functional from 07 Oct to 15 Oct 2013 at Rally Site for redressal of grievances of candidates, if any.
10. Common Entrance Examination (CEE) (a) Candidates declared medically fit will be eligible to appear in the written examination (CEE) as per date, time and place given in the Admit Card issued to successful candidates after medical examination. (b) Sample Question Papers Sample question papers will be issued to successful candidates during Recruitment Rally to help the candidates to prepare for CEE. (c) Choice of Question Paper for Soldier GD (ST) Candidates for Soldier GD (ST) will have to exercise his choice between 8th or 10th Class question paper in writing before issue of Admit Card for CEE. (d) Negative Marking There will be Negative marking in CEE for Soldier General Duty Category. Each question will be graded for Two Marks. Negative marking of minus 0.5 Mark will be awarded for incorrect answers. No Marks will be awarded for answers left blank. (e) CEE for medical Fit candidates will be conducted at Cuttack as per schedule given at this website. Candidates must bring their own writing material and clipboard for CEE. (f) Result Candidates must be report personally to the ARO, Cuttack for declaration of the Result within two to three weeks from the date of Exam. Subsequently, the result will be hosted on this website and it can also be accessed through 30 Channel Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) installed at ARO, Cuttack by dialing 0671 – 230 3888.
11. Despatch (a) Selection of candidates will remain PROVISIONAL until all the documents submitted by him during Prelim Documentation Check at Army Recruitment Rally Site are verified and found correct. (b) Pre Despatch Validation Selected candidates will be required to undergo requisite Pre Despatch Validation Procedures which include Pre Enrollment Verification, Final Document Check and Pre Despatch Physical Measurements & Medical Examination. (c) Candidates are advised to declare in case any police case/ court case exists against them in any civil/ court. (d) In case of Fake/ Forged Documents, FIR for Fraudulent Enrolment by Fake Recruit shall be lodged and such candidates will be handed over to Odisha Police. (e) Candidature of any candidate who does not meet all the stipulated eligibility conditions for Enrolment as Soldier in Indian Army is liable to be cancelled at this stage. (f) Candidates who meet all stipulated eligibility conditions for Enrolment in Indian Army will be despatched for Training.
12. Eligibility Criteria (a) Recruitment into Army is carried out as per stipulated Physical, Educational and Medical Standards for enrolment of suitable candidates in Indian Army as Soldier (General Duty), Soldier (Technical), Soldier (Nursing Assistant) and Soldier (Clerk/ Storekeeper) are available over this website and are displayed at ARO, Cuttack. (b) It has been experienced that a large number of candidates who do not meet the laid down eligibility criteria for recruitment in Army, invariably come for the rally, due to lack of knowledge about eligibility criteria for recruitment in Army. Such candidates get rejected in the preliminary stages of screening during Recruitment Rally, whereby they get disheartened and demoralized. (c) All interested candidates shall be aware of the Eligibility Conditions including Age Criteria and Minimum Educational Qualifications for Enrolment of Soldiers in Indian Army. (d) Any candidate who do not meet the laid down eligibility criteria shall not report for Army Recruitment Rally as he will get rejected in the preliminary stages of screening during Recruitment Rally
13. ALL CANDIDATES SHALL GUARD AGAINST TOUTS (a) We are fully committed to fair and impartial enrolment of candidates in Indian Army irrespective of their class, caste or creed. The enrolment in Army is a free service and candidates shall be advised not to fall prey to touts/ antisocial elements who cannot influence recruitment in any way. (b) Any harassment by touts/antisocial elements should be reported to the undersigned in person immediately. In the past a number of candidates have been victims of touts and in the bargain, lost their candidature due to Fake Documents. Modus Operandi/ means used such Touts/ Anti Social Elements are as under :- (i) Take original certificates from candidates, who have been declared ‘Fit’ in the initial stage of screening by giving false assurances about their success in subsequent stages of screening for enrolment. (ii) Issue Fake/ Forged Documents to candidates to enable them to meet the documentation requirements. (iii) Take away Admit Cards for CEE from the candidates by duping them that they will follow up their results. (iv) Give false assurance to naive and ignorant candidates and their parents by wrongly claiming that they have links at appropriate level, thereby wining confidence of inexperienced and immature candidates and extract money from them. (v) Once candidates qualify on own their merit, demand money for returning their Original certificates.
