Today Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has announced the Common Recruitment Process for Recruitment in Clerical cadre in participating organizations which is known as CWE clerks-grade Exams which will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection tentatively in November/ December 2013.
I may like to introduce you to all you about the IBPS which began in 1975, after nationalization of banks in India , as Personnel Selection Services (PSS), a unit of National Institute of Bank Management . The objective for launch of IBPS was to develop an efficient system for recruitment/ promotion and placement services in the area of banking sectors.
The foundation of the Institute was to promote professionalism in Talent Acquisition through selection of competent and efficient cadres of personnel from the clerical to the executive tier, promotion and placement of human capital at various tiers within the organizations, carrying out research in the area of human resource management, psychometric, measurement and evaluation of competencies and conducting seminars, workshops and training programmes in the areas related to its activities.
Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join as a Clerk or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the Common Recruitment Process- (CWE Clerks-III).
Educational Qualifications which are required for appearing in this exam is given below;
Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification
recognized as such by the Central Government.
As you know that Computer Literacy is inevitable and most necessary requirement in most of the recruitment exams, So the same requirement is asked for this exam as well. Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies the candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculated .
Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding
certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the
Armed Forces of the Union as on 01.08.2013. Such certificates should be dated on or, before
01.08.2013.
Candidates who appear and are shortlisted in the examination, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations which are Allahabad Bank /Canara Bank /Indian Overseas Bank /UCO Bank/ Andhra Bank/ Central Bank of India /Oriental Bank of Commerce /Union Bank of India/Bank of Baroda /Corporation Bank /Punjab National Bank /United Bank of India/Bank of India /Dena Bank /Punjab & Sind Bank /Vijaya Bank /Bank of Maharashtra /Indian Bank /Syndicate Bank Any other Bank/ Financial Institutions as well.
